From 23 December 2011 those students who have opted for an offline exam centre can make a change to the online centre for the AIEEE exam. It should be noted that online centre cannot be changed to offline one.

Details about mode of payment and caste can also be changed if there is a mistake while filling the form.

The trial test has been loaded on the AIEEE server and has the exact format like the actual AIEEE exam. Students can download the test for practice whenever they have free time. Another remarkable feature is that students can change the language mode as many times as they wish during the test.

NCERT Questions

A study guide can give answers to the NCERT questions but seldom can it do justice to the length and breadth of the syllabus for a given subject! Students often consider writing the solutions to the NCERT questions as wasteful time-consuming and futile activity. However, a thorough understanding of the various aspects of the NCERT questions and its utility can change their existing notions.

NCERT questions are typically the questions printed at the end of the chapters in the NCERT text books. Sometimes, questions by other private publishers based on the content in the NCERT text books may also be referred to as the NCERT questions. The end-of-chapter NCERT questions are made available in array of formats with the purpose to accelerate students’ pace of conceptual understanding. Therefore, while writing answers to the NCERT questions students should try to attempt all the questions since doing so will help them gain a thorough understanding of all the concepts present in the NCERT textbooks and give them the opportunity to assess their understanding of the said topics.

Apart from the overall understanding of concepts in the chapter, most of the problems that are asked in the CBSE board papers too are either from these end-of-chapter NCERT questions or are based on the topics addressed in them. For subjects such as Social Sciences and for some topics in Science these NCERT questions are hot favourites for the examination paper setters. It has been further observed that for application oriented subjects such as Maths and Physics the questions posed in the CBSE board papers may be loosely based on the NCERT questions–often the core concept being tested remaining the same, with variations in the values therein.. Therefore, all the students out there who are preparing for their class X and class XII CBSE board papers better take these NCERT questions seriously!

Students should essentially start tackling these NCERT questions once they are through with the entire chapter. A thorough understanding of the concepts in the chapter will help students frame conceptually correct and complete answers. If possible students should try to support their answers to these NCERT questions with neat and well labeled illustrations. While writing answers to the NCERT questions, students should also stick to the prescribed word limit.

While attempting these questions, students can seek help from the readymade NCERT solutions booklet. However, students should be cautioned to use the solution booklet as a reference book only. Complete dependence on such readymade material could be detrimental for students learning as it could hinder the ability of students to comprehend text and write answers in their own words. While seeking help from these readymade solutions booklets for NCERT questions, students should look for the following factors: clarity in language, , relevance to the chapter, word limit etc. There are various websites that provide free NCERT solutions to the NCERT questions for classes VI- XII.

So go ahead and use these free NCERT solutions to improve your grades.

Career after 12th 10th education program-What to do After 10th class and 12th class board examination

It is a great dilemma for the students to choose a particular stream for their higher education. Traditionally speaking, it has been considered that there exist only two stream after 12th where you can have a good career i.e. Medical and Engineering. Students opting for Maths, Biology are considered to be brilliant than those opting other streams for eg. Arts, Commerce, Law etc, specifically in India. This is a norm which has been set up by a Indian Society and anyone deviating from this norm would be questioned by everyone " Why didn't you go for IIT ? " , " Why not Medical? Its a great field " , " See how IIT students get good jobs, go for it ". Well these are the questions which block the thinking of a student to think beyond this and start considering these two as the only options which are available to him for higher studies. I have seen many students who are not at all interested in these fields, but even though they prepare for it because society has given its approval only for these two streams. Well, I am able to say all this because I am one of such cases who opted for Maths after 10th without thinking about my interest, as to What am I interested in ? But luckily I decided at the crucial point and left the idea of doing engineering and opted for law and I am not regretting my decision, actually I am very happy with this.

This post is not meant to favour something or against something, but this is reality and we can not ignore it that there is a very limited knowledge which is available to the students of other streams and that is the reason why they get confused while choosing a career in a particular field. "Three Idiots" has represented this matter in a very decent way as to how Farhan's family says on his birth " Mera Beta Farhan Engineer banega ". It was decided since his birth as to what he has to do in future and he did that accordingly but at last found the way to do the thing in which wants to do but after a great struggle. Even he was surrounded by the questions "Abbu nhi manege" . This is in fact has become the reality and case of Farhan can be counted as an exception where his parents were convinced and in most of the cases it is very hard to convince them and at last they choose the filed which is not chosen by them but by their parents, relatives. This is a very great problem which has been rooted in the society which has to removed otherwise there would be many student who could have done a great job in other fileds would land up doing some clerical work because of their disinterest in the field which has been chosen for them by their elders.

This is a very crucial decision in a life of a person, and it should not be imposed on him. His choice should get the utmost importance because it is he who is going to study and anyone should not play with his future arbitrarily. I have seen many people who could have done well in case they had been doing the thing which they were interested in, but has achieved a lot less because of the wrong choice. This happens not only due the pressure which one gets from the family but sometimes a person himself is confused while deciding this crucial matter. Even after taking certain subjects after 10th, he doesn't know why he has chosen that subject and is he studying that subject, just to get a job ? But is it necessary that you would get a high paying job by making a wrong decision by not choosing an area which you are interested in? Trust me you would do much more better in a field you are interested in, than the streams which one chooses just because it is considered good. Because, one can do well anywhere if he has capability of doing such thing. Take for example, you may be interested in Politics but may not be seeing a good future in it, but have you ever thought of at least trying it?Consider Chetan Bhagat, a well known Indian writer, who has completed his graduation from IIT Delhi and post-graduation from IIM, Ahemdabad, left his job and started writing novels only, indeed he once informed in an interaction that he would be working on the movies based on his novels. But have you ever thought what was the use of the IIT degree which he had got? His destiny was not become a Manager or for the matter an Engineer but a writer. Even you might be interested in writing but have you ever thought of doing this.

Even if you are not convinced with the discussion above and you are still confused as to which stream you should join, then you can consult the eligible person who suggest you and can give you a clear idea about the opportunities which one in respective streams because if you don't do this at this moment then you might be regretting your whole life by not making the right choice when you had a chance to do so. Even I had many friends who could have done a lot better in other fields than those which they have chosen but it is very hard to convince someone and tell them that you can have a better career in some other place. This article may convince you or may not be able to convince you but please think about this matter at least once carefully before making any choice because the period which you are going to spend after 12th would be the deciding factor for your whole life and it should be taken arbitrarily. It always better to think before than regretting later on.

Career after 12th 10th education program-What to do After 10th class and 12th class board examination

1. Combined Preliminary & Mains For Posts SSC Level Posts: Staff Selection Commission

2. NDA & Naval Academy Exams For Admissions to the Army, Navy and The Air Force Wings after 10+2

3. Technical Entry Scheme for men after 10+2 (with PCM)

4. Exam for recruitment of Soldier Tradesman (for non matric)

5. Exam for recruitment of Junior Commissioned Officers (Catering) after 10+2 (1 Yr cookery diploma/certificate from recognized craft institute essential)

6. Exams for recruitment of Soldiers:
a. General Duty: 10+2
b. Technical
c. Nursing Assistant: 10+2(with Biology)
d. Clerical: SSC with English, Maths & Science

7. Exam for recruitment as Lady Constable after SSC

8. Exam for recruitment as Sailors in Indian Navy

9. Exam for Cadet Entry scheme after 10+2 in Indian Navy

10. Exam for recruitment to Matric entry for trades in Seamen, Engineering/ Electrical, Medical and Logistics

11. Exam for recruitment as Artificer Apprentice in Indian Navy for Matric

12. IIT-JEE exam for with separate applications to the Directorate General of Shipping for admission to Marine Engineering and Research Institute (Merchant Navy)

13. Exam for recruitment of apprentices (civilian) for after SSC

14. Exam for recruitment of Naviks in the Indian Coast Guard after SSC

15. Exam for recruitment of Airmen Technical & Non-Technical Trades After SSC

16. Exam for recruitment of Driver Mechanical Transport Trade after SSC

17. Exam for recruitment of Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Asst. The board papers not only check a student’s conceptual understanding of key concepts but also test their mettle to stand extreme situations. Students should not get cowed down at any point and take on their board papers with a single minded focus of giving it their best shot.

In order to ensure that students excel in their board papers they should follow this simple three-step process. Doing so will not only help students to effectively plan and structure their studies but will also make their learning smooth and effortless.

Step I- Set goals! While planning for the academic year, students should set their long-term and short-term goals. A long-term goal is what student aspire to achieve after their year-long (or more) hard work. Short-term goals on the other hand can be defined as small steps taken by students towards achieving their ultimate goals. Both the short-term and long-term goals are important for achieving success in board papers. The first step towards formulating short-term goals is to prepare a schedule. Instead of preparing a fresh schedule everytime, students can also choose to follow a schedule template. With minor changes in the template, students can use it on a regular basis. Students preparing for the board paper can make their schedule template an ideal one by incorporating the following points in it.

The study schedule template should aim to be specific by clearly listing down what to achieve and by what time.
The schedule template should be flexible with ample scope for accommodating unexpected and unforeseen events.
The study targets should be realistic that can be achieved within the allocated time.
The schedule template should incorporate essential breaks for sleeping, relaxation and leisure activities.

Step II- Study Effectively! Setting goals should ideally be followed up with preparing study notes, revision notes, studying etc. These are some essential activities that students are required to undertake, in order to achieve their short-term goals and also score well in board papers. To make the studying activity effective for the final board papers, students should keep the following tips in mind.

Students should study according to their learning styles and not force themselves to adopt a path that could slow down their pace of learning.
Students should try to include small breaks while studying as it will help both the mind and the body to stay fresh.
Students should not stress on cramming and lay emphasis only on understanding the concepts thoroughly.

Students can also seek help from websites that provide curriculum-aligned study material and other study content that can make understanding and studying easy.

Step III- Revise!

All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) in the 10th standard and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) in the 12th are the two exams conducted by the CBSE board. Now that we have brief idea about CBSE, let us understand how it works and what the advantages of this board are:

Language of Instruction for CBSE curriculum is available both in English as well as Hindi.

CBSE is a recognized board by the Government of India. The syllabus of CBSE is set with an idea of providing objective knowledge which is tested in the competitive examinations.

CBSE has a student oriented syllabus that is developed understanding the needs and requirements of an individual child.

CBSE with the introduction of its new concept of Grading System has really helped the children who are not able to get qualifying marks in the Board Examination.

CBSE is driving towards enhanced learning solutions.

Source

BAMU Result BCA, BE, BBA, BA, BCS, Architecture 2011

BAMUA is currently open for admission for the current session. However, the studies do not conclude that taking a 400 iu capsule of Vitamin E will boost one’s memory.

2. Peanuts are also considered as brain food; peanuts are high in protein and proteins are known as the building blocks of our organs and muscles – brain muscles.

3. Coffee and Colas. Coffee and colas with high caffeine help because the caffeine keeps you awake; other than that, there is not much basis to consider them brain foods.

Want to know how to learn? The bad news is that there is no one “way” to learn. The good news is that there are many ways. Read, take notes, repeat what you learn so you won’t forget it - all of these are traditional ways to learn something new. The following are three more techniques to try.

How To Learn More By Taking Breaks

Learn more by taking breaks? Yes, actually. Research into how we learn shows that we remember best what we studied first and last in a given “learning session.” Take more breaks, and you have more “sessions,” so you increase the number of firsts and lasts.

How often should you take a break? This isn’t as clear. Obviously if you take a break every two minutes it can just interfere with learning. You can try taking a break whenever your mind starts to wander, but probably no more often than a five-minute break every fifteen minutes. Getting up and moving around during your breaks can also keep your mind fresh.

How You Will Use New Knowledge

As you study something new, stop to imagine how you will use what you are learning. There is always so much information, and yet little of it is the “important stuff.” But by imagining how you’ll use your new information, you tend to automatically focus on the things you really need to know.

If you are a student, you may protest that you won’t actually have a use for the new information - you just need to pass a test. That’s okay. Passing the test is how you will use it then. Imagine the kinds of questions that you will see on the test, and that will help you recall what is most important at test time.

CBSE STUDING TIPS - Ten Tips - Studying Techniques, Education and Career

Make studying a part of your everyday school routine and don't be limited to 'cramming' for exams and tests.

Establish a routine
Set aside a particular time each day for study and revision and stick to it.

Create a study environment
This should be away from interruptions and household noise, such as the television. Ensure there is adequate lighting and ventilation, a comfortable chair and appropriate desk.

Set a timetable
With a timetable you can plan to cover all your subjects in an organised way, allotting the appropriate time for each without becoming overwhelmed.

Look after yourself
Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, and eat healthy foods. Keep sugary foods to a minimum. Make sure you get enough sleep each night. Regular physical exercise makes you feel great, boosts your energy and helps you relax. So try to keep up regular sporting activities or at least fit in some regular exercise as often as you can.

Reward yourself for studying
Watch your favourite television program, spend time with your friends, walk to the park and play sport throughout the week.

Have variety in your study program
Study different subjects each day and do different types of work and revision in each study session.

Avoid interrupting your concentration
Have all the appropriate materials with you before you start a session of study to minimise distractions.

Test yourself on what you have studied
Ask your parents or family members to quiz you on what you have learnt, use draft questions from books, past assessments or major exam papers.

Don't panic at exam time
If you have followed a study routine and have been revising your class work, there should be no need to worry. Try to keep yourself calm, positive and confident.

Ask your teachers for guidance
Especially if you're having trouble - whether it's grasping a new concept or understanding something you learnt earlier in the year. They will be happy to help.

Balancing Commitments

School is more than books and assignments.

It is important to maintain balance. Balancing commitments is especially important to senior high school students. Being able to balance your school commitments with social, recreational and family life is important for a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Key ways for students to achieve this balance include: having a set of priorities and goals; being as positive as you can; having support networks of people you can talk things over with; and being prepared to tackle problems early and work out ways to manage them. There is no perfect way of 'doing the HSC'. Each student needs to be supported to find their own way of managing their lives at this stage. If things are not going well at school or there are other pressures it is useful to know that there are other pathways to the HSC.

Things to remember

Time management
Planning your time will allow you to study as well as take time off to watch TV, go out with friends and have extra curricular activities such as music and clubs etc.

Planning and discipline
Select a time for study when you concentrate the best and develop a habit of studying at this time. Some students prefer the early morning, others the afternoon or night. Try to make this study time when there are fewer distractions around you.

Keeping fit
Exercise and keeping fit are some things that many students worry about as it is time consuming - but don't put this off because of a lack of time. A fit and healthy lifestyle helps you feel more positive and have more energy. It also helps concentration. Play a sport, get outside for fresh air and exercise and try to do this on a regular basis. Even 10 minutes of fitness activity each day has benefits. And don't forget, relaxation exercises are also helpful. (your school counsellor could give you more information on these)

Manage your stress
It's the rule rather than the exception for student to feel nervous before exams. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Aim to keep your routines as normal as possible during exam periods. On the day before an exam, stick to your revision plan. On the night before, have an early night, so that you give yourself the opportunity to get plenty of sleep and wake up alert.

Learn to say no
Your friends want to go out on Wednesday but you're committed to studying for that Economics exam? Or you're not allowed to go out on weeknights so you get the weekend free? Then, say no. It's the only way your plans for the rest of the week will stay in place.

How to manage time while preparing for CBSE exams?

Do you fear that dearth of time will be one of the reasons for you not performing well in your final CBSE exams? If yes, then stop worrying. After reading this article, I am confident that you will no longer face time constraint related issues while preparing for your CBSE exams.

To combat time management related problems, it is very important that students preparing for the CBSE exams plan and schedule the available time well in advance. Estimating and planning both the time and effort required to be invested in a particular task helps students stay in control of the situation. Organizing time well also leads to optimization of productivity.

Therefore, in order to score well in your CBSE exams and effectively manage the available time, follow this simple five-step process. These tips will help you manage your time effectively before the final CBSE exams and will also help you score excellent marks in the process.

Look ahead! While scheduling your studies for the CBSE exams, you should not just selectively plan for exams but for the entire academic year. As a student preparing for the CBSE exam, ask yourself three questions i.e. what are the things that I need to do to score great marks in the exams, what are the timelines for the same and what is the estimated time and effort required to complete these activities. These activities should not just include scholastic but co-scholastic tasks as well. Therefore, while attempting to look ahead for your CBSE exams, first try to gain a broad understanding of the overall studies and co-related activities that are imperative for your holistic development.

Make plans in advance! Once through with gaining an insight into the effort and time estimation, the next step is to actually sit down and prepare a plan for the whole academic year. Since the preparation for the CBSE exams should ideally begin from the start of the academic session, therefore it is necessary to manage actions for the same right from the start. On a paper set a date for completion against each activity mentioned in the year-long plan. While planning for CBSE exams, leave aside some time for contingencies. Rather than trying to squeeze in activities later on, it is always beneficial to leave some scope for the same beforehand.

Chalk out specific short-term plans! Once through with formulating a year-long plan for the CBSE exams, the follow up activity should ideally be that of chalking out smaller short-term plans. You should set weekly and monthly goals that will help you work effectively towards meeting the demands of the year-long plan. Try to create plans or goals that are realistic and achievable and will contribute effectively to your ultimate goal of achieving top score in your CBSE exams.

Prioritizing is important! Sometimes you may realize that you have more on hand than you can actually handle! At such times it is important that you prioritize amongst the given activities. First, spend time to evaluate and then carefully prioritize. Remember that prioritization in haste can often have an adverse impact on your final score in the CBSE examination.

Review actions timely! Simply preparing plans and blindly following those time plans won’t suffice towards fulfilling your dream of performing well in final CBSE exams and effectively managing your time. You will need to periodically review both the performance of the actions taken and the effectiveness of your plans, and take suitable corrective actions if required.

Now that all you students preparing for the CBSE exams know how to organize time, planning for exams won’t be difficult.

How to study using previous years’ CBSE papers?

With board exams a few weeks away, it is time to get over with all your final preparations and start testing your knowledge using previous years’ CBSE Papers. Practicing using previous years’ CBSE papers not only acquaints students with the overall examination pattern but also helps them assess their current levels of preparation.

In view of the benefits of using previous years’ CBSE papers for revision, students should keep in mind the following steps for using the previous years’ CBSE papers effectively:

The first and foremost step is to finish all conceptual understanding. Before starting to practice from the previous years’ CBSE papers, students should have all their study material and revision notes in place. Students should only plan to practice from these previous years’ CBSE papers once they are confident about their preparation and they think they are cent percent ready to write the final CBSE papers.
While organizing the previous years’ CBSE papers, students should also simultaneously look out for their respective solution sheets along with the official marking scheme. At this stage creating a pool of such solution sheets is important. However, students should restrain themselves from reading the solutions at this stage.
Before starting to practice from the previous years’ CBSE papers, students should aim to create a simulated exam atmosphere around them. Choosing a study corner that is free of any disturbance and well-lit. Students can also choose to ask their parents and friends not to disturb them while writing an ‘exam’. Students should also keep a stop-watch handy, so as to keep a track of the time left to complete the mock CBSE paper.
With all the required things in place, students can now start attempting their CBSE papers. Students should make sure that once they start writing their mock CBSE paper, they should resist any temptation to look into the solution sheet. Students should focus on completing their mock CBSE papers in time and write quality answers that can fetch them a good score.
Once students are through with their mock CBSE papers, it is time to evaluate their performance and calculate their score. With the help of the solution sheet and the official marking scheme students can appropriately rate their performance. While evaluating the answer sheet, students should try to act as a strict examiner and not reward marks generously. Doing so will help them raise their own standards of performance.
Once through with checking the CBSE papers, students can highlight or identify all the topics or areas where they performed poorly. Students should then get back to their CBSE study material and revise those particular topics to strengthen their conceptual base.
After a few days, students should once again go back to those questions and revise them all over again. They should also ensure that they are cent percent accurate this time around.

Now that all you students out there know how to use previous years’ CBSE papers, scoring good marks will not be that difficult.

How and when to study from CBSE model papers!

How and when to study from CBSE model papers!

If you want to be sure of a great score in exams, do not forget to practice from CBSE model papers. Many often consider CBSE model papers a sure-shot way to excel in examinations. CBSE model papers are usually a loose prototype of the final CBSE question paper that gives students a first-hand look of their final examination paper. Regular practice from CBSE model papers not only helps students to identify their weak areas in various subjects and but also instills in them the much required confidence to combat exam-related stress. Keeping in mind the benefits of practicing from CBSE model papers, students should make it a point to include such practice sessions using model papers in their revision schedules. However, it is also very important for students to know how and when to seek help from these model papers.

To start with, students should only start practicing from the CBSE model papers after they are through with understanding and memorizing all the important points in a particular subject. A preparation like this before attempting CBSE model paper will help students truly assess their preparation levels for exams. It will also place them in a better position to take remedial action if required, to help score great marks in the final exams.

At this stage students can also choose to take adaptive assessment tests that are geared to test their knowledge in a particular chapter along with related concepts. These adaptive assessment tests help students an instant identification of their weak concepts that may be stumbling blocks in the way of a thorough and effective understanding of a particular concept. There are a few websites that provide such formative assessments in Maths and Science for students studying under CBSE board.

Once through with a particular chapter, students can tests their understanding by taking chapter-wise practice tests or CBSE model papers. There are a variety of websites that provide CBSE aligned chapter-wise MCQ and descriptive tests. These chapter-wise practice tests not only add variety to a student’s learning schedule but also ensure a thorough assessment of students at different levels. A rigorous practice using such tests will solidify students’ understanding of the topics in the subject.

After taking the chapter-wise tests, now comes the time to revise using full length CBSE model papers or previous years’ question papers. A full-length test in simulated exam atmosphere enables students to gauge their preparation levels with respect to the answering style, time management strategies etc. The more a student practices, the better are his/her chances to perform well in exams. These e-learning websites not only provide CBSE model papers but also provide solved CBSE board papers to help students familiarize themselves with the correct answering style and the official marking scheme.

Students who wish to score well in their final CBSE examinations should support such practice sessions with robust revision sessions using a host of other revision aids available to the students. Once through with all the revision, students must re-visit their CBSE model papers before the final CBSE examinations.

Assure good marks in CBSE exams with NCERT solutions

The key to performing well in CBSE exams include studying hard, grasping important & relevant points mentioned in the chapter and retaining these. The students should tailor their answers depending on the type of questions i.e. one word, multiple choice, short answers or long answers. Keeping in mind the type of question and marks allotted for each, they should set word limits for every type that would help them in customization of their answers.

In addition to the above factors, the answers should be simple in language and crisp with no grammatical and spelling errors.

Proper revision to reassure high scores in CBSE exams

The NCERT solutions should be arranged in an organized manner with the chapter number and page numbers to avoid confusion. While studying for the final CBSE examinations, students usually keep in mind the format of the questions that have a higher weightage and the probability of being asked in the exams. Therefore, in order to score exceptionally good marks in all the subjects the students are advised to customize their answers according to the subject and question they are tackling.

To help all you students out there who are to appear in their CBSE exams in the near future, here are a few tips on how customize your answer for each subject.

Maths:- One simple mantra to score cent percent marks in Maths is to the keep the calculations uncluttered and accurate so as to arrive at the correct answer. While attempting the CBSE question paper for Maths, student should first demarcate space on all the pages in the answer sheet for rough work. This will enable students to keep a track of the calculations they have performed to arrive at the solution. Whenever in doubt, students can re-check their calculations from any stage and be confident of their answer. Also, while a attempting the CBSE question paper for Maths, student should write down all the in-between steps in the answer. This will help students fetch some marks for the steps even if the final answer is incorrect.

English & Hindi:- For language subjects the key is to build a very good command over the basics of the language and develop a sound vocabulary in order to achieve your dream score. Unlike other subjects like Maths, Accountancy etc, scoring high marks in language subjects is relatively difficult. Therefore, students should not be over ambitious and just focus on attempting their CBSE question paper well. While attempting the reading section in the CBSE question paper for the language subjects, students should first read the unseen passage carefully. Once through with a thorough read, students should then start answering the questions asked from the passage. Whereas, while attempting questions from the text-book section in the CBSE question paper, students should try to answer in ‘to-the-point’ format and stick to the prescribed word limit.

Science:- Students should not commit the mistake of cramming concepts for a subject like Science in order to score great marks in the final exams. The key to excelling in CBSE question paper for Science is to understand and memorize concepts and processes well. Students should try to supplement their answers with neatly drawn and clearly labeled diagrams. This will help students explain the concepts thoroughly and enable them to score those extra marks in CBSE question papers.

Social Science:- While attempting the CBSE question paper for Social Science, students should not write mindlessly lengthy answers in order to meet the desired word limit. Rather, students should concentrate on writing precise and complete answers. There is a common notion that writing lengthy answers in Social Sciences can help students score good marks. However, this statement does not hold true.

Therefore while attempting CBSE question paper for any of these subjects, students should keep the following points in mind and customize their answers accordingly.

How to study from CBSE solved papers for a great score in exams?

Students often undermine the importance of practicing using solved CBSE papers and consider the activity of revising using the revision notes as sufficient for the final examinations. Revision sessions using the bulleted highlights of the chapter are undoubtedly beneficial for the students, but solely relying on them alone is also not advisable. Along with revising using revision notes students should also try their hands at solved CBSE papers. Revising using these solved CBSE board papers will acquaint students with the overall examination pattern. It will also equip students with a first-hand look of the final CBSE papers and will familiarize them with the correct answering technique that will help them to score great marks in exams. Keeping all these advantages of revising using solved CBSE papers in mind, it is important for students to qualitatively enhance their revision session by practicing using the solved CBSE papers.

While planning to revise from the solved CBSE papers, it is for students to keep in mind the following steps so as to make this exercise a thoroughly effective one.

The first and foremost step for students preparing for the CBSE papers is to carefully go through their NCERT textbooks. A strong conceptual understanding of all the important topics in the subject is very important to score top marks in exams. While learning the important points in the chapter, students should lay emphasis on understanding the concepts over cramming the said text. Students should plan to practice from these CBSE solved papers only when they are through with their studies and are 100% confident about their preparation.

While organizing the CBSE solved papers, students should also simultaneously look out for the official marking scheme. Students should try to arrange for as many solved CBSE papers possible, so as to ensure enough practice for the final exams. Students should also ensure that they do not give in to the temptation to read the solutions before attempting the paper.

Before starting to practice from the CBSE solved papers, students should choose a study corner in their room that is well-lit and a noise-free zone. Students can also ask their friends and family not to disturb them while they are practicing from the solved CBSE papers. Students should take this practice session as a mock CBSE exam and accordingly keep a track of the time.

Students should make sure that once they start writing their mock CBSE paper, they should just focus on writing quality answers and completing the paper within the stipulated time period. Students should also resist from looking into the available solutions.

Once students are through with practicing from CBSE solved papers, students can then check their answers against the available solutions. Students can also calculate their score with the help of the official marking scheme so as to assess their preparation levels. An exercise like this will also help students take timely corrective action and ensure that they obtain a good score in the final CBSE papers.

While on the look-out for the CBSE solved papers for class X and class XII, students can seek help from a variety of websites that not only provide CBSE solved papers but also equip students with printable revision notes, practice tests, model tests and a lot more. The fear of exams gives most students sleepless nights. Students often tend to find it difficult to get down to studying and try to seek answers from their friends as to where to begin. The problem does not end here. Panic attacks before entering examination hall, issues like how to answer CBSE Papers and what to do once you are done with your exams crops up.

Here are a few tips for all you students out there who are to face CBSE Papers any other board exams (conducted by other boards). It is important for students to learn to deal with the situation by breaking it down into stages. The entire examination period can be thus, divided into three stages i.e. Pre Exam, During Exam and Post Exam.

Pre Exam:- The most important key to fare well in any exam is to prepare well. Before starting it is important to go through the entire CBSE syllabus for your grade. Start off with the difficult subjects first, as fresh mind allows for fast and effective understanding and memorization of concepts. Prepare a time table for yourself in detail that lists down when and how you plan to deal with all the subjects. For attempting CBSE Papers well, going through all the related NCERT text books thoroughly is a primary requirement. Generally NCERT text books deal with all the relevant topics in detail, however if you feel the need seek help from the reference books suggested for CBSE Papers, feel free to do so. While studying subjects like Social Sciences, it may be a good idea to practice CBSE papers for each of the individual subjects like History, Geography and Civics separately. Be careful not to delve excessively into a subject that you like; concentrating on ’least preferred’ subjects first will help you make the most of your revision time.
Once done with memorizing key points, try to revise at least once before attempting the final CBSE Paper. If you are left with enough time before the final exams, try your hand on mock tests prescribed for CBSE Papers.

During Exam:- Once you enter the examination hall, do not stress yourself or panic. First read all the instructions and the marking scheme carefully. Accordingly, allocate your time for each question. An answer within the prescribed word limit that covers all the important points will fetch you more marks in CBSE Papers than writing lengthy and incomplete answers. If possible, support your answers with diagrammatic representations. Your writing should be legible enough for the examiner to read. Once done with answering the CBSE Paper, do revise your answer sheet and highlight the major points. It will make your answer sheet look more organized.

Post Exam:- There’s not much that you can do once you are done with a particular CBSE Paper. Unwind and quickly start preparing yourself for the next one. If it was the last CBSE paper set goals for the future and support them with a concrete and actionable plan. It is equally important to have backup plans or alternative courses of action after your CBSE papers.

CBSE Physics

Get your act together for CBSE Physics if you aspire to crack the toughest entrance exams in India and secure a seat in the best engineering college. Therefore, before starting to prepare for these engineering entrance exams students are advised to thoroughly go through their NCERT books for CBSE Physics, Chemistry and Maths. While preparing for the entrance exams students should practice hard the end-of-chapter questions in these NCERT books. Students can also choose to seek help from various websites that provide free NCERT solutions for CBSE Physics, CBSE Chemistry and CBSE Maths.

Pass your CBSE board exams with more than 60% marks! Some students may not know that majority of the engineering institutes in India have an eligibility criteria for admission. As per this eligibility criterion, students should have passed their CBSE board exams with more than 60% marks. A condition like this gives more reasons to students preparing for these entrance exams to take their NCERT books for CBSE Physics, Chemistry and Maths seriously. There are a few websites that provide previous years’ solved board papers, model tests and practice tests for these subjects to help students score well in their board exams.

Seek help from entrance exam aligned test papers! After preparing for your board exams, students should practice concepts from the model question papers and test series for entrance exams. This will help students get a hang of the type of questions that are usually asked in these engineering entrance exams from CBSE Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Now that all you students know how to prepare for your engineering entrance exams, I am positive that cracking these exams won’t be difficult.

All the best!

Tackling CBSE Question Paper

Tackling CBSE Question Paper

You prepared well, wrote your CBSE Question Paper satisfactorily and accordingly calculated your score to lie somewhere between 75-80%. But your final results leave you feeling shocked! For no apparent reasons, you seemed to have scored far less than your expectations. Does this not sound familiar too many of you students who are reading this?

Let us try and understand what might have happened. Though you attempted the CBSE Question Paper to the best of your best ability, you might have overlooked some important points while writing the answers to the CBSE Question Paper. Let me spell out a few tips that you can use the next time you write/prepare for your CBSE Question Paper:

Read all the instructions carefully and use the 15 minutes allotted for reading the question paper judiciously. While glancing at the CBSE Question Paper, pay attention to key words like ‘elaborate’, ‘classify’, ‘comment’ etc and tailor your answer accordingly.

Strictly adhere to the word limit prescribed for the CBSE Question Paper. Many students may not know that marks are deducted for exceeding the word limit. Therefore, the next time you answer a short answer question carrying two marks weightage, there is no point writing unending paragraphs for the same. Try to restrict your answer to 2-3 lines.

It is advisable to attempt all the questions in a section at a single go (like section A, B, C) while writing your CBSE Question Paper. Irrespective of the order of the sections, attempt first the section that you are most comfortable with. Doing so will boost your confidence as you smoothly tackle section after section and will set the pace for writing the answers to those tricky questions, as you attempt the CBSE Question Paper.

Start by attempting those questions within a section the answers to which you are 100% confident about. A terrific start makes a positive impression on the examiner and there are chances that he/she might just overlook some of your minor mistakes.

Students make the common mistake of not marking the question number clearly in their answer sheets while attempting their CBSE Question Paper. An answer like this may go unnoticed by the examiner while checking the CBSE Questions Paper and thereby you may lose precious marks. To avoid such a situation the next time you attempt the CBSE Question Paper highlight the question number in the answer sheet.

While answering the comprehension type of questions, especially in the language papers read the whole paragraph first and understand it in totality before attempting to answer. Doing so will help you score better.

While attempting your CBSE Question Paper, base your answers on your NCERT text books. For an enhanced conceptual understanding of some topics, you may refer to other books but you will earn more marks if your answers are aligned as per the content in the NCERT books.

To avoid skipping a question in the CBSE question paper, each time you are done with a question, tick off the corresponding question number on the CBSE Question Paper so as to avoid any confusion.

Pay special attention to correct spellings, a neat and legible handwriting, a tidy and organized paper etc. as these can fetch you that additional mark or two, that can give you the much needed edge!.

Hope these tips will help you identify and take care of these small but significant details the next time you attempt your CBSE Question Paper.

How to beat CBSE result related anxiety ?

After attempting final CBSE examinations, the next thing that students anxiously wait for is the news of declaration of the official CBSE results. Post-exam students are often seen trying to evaluate their performance by calculating their tentative score in the exam, and comparing their performance with that of their peers etc. All these actions betray their anxious wait for the CBSE results. It is normal for students to be excited about their performance in the CBSE exams, but students should make sure that they do not get ‘plagued’ with anxiety to the extent that they start treating their results as a ‘verdict’ on the direction their life is going to take. Students should also understand that marks obtained or the grades scored by them in these exams are at best an indication of their performance for these particular exams and are unlikely to have any significant impact on their life as a whole.

Here are a few tips to help all you students out there who are eagerly waiting for their CBSE results, and suggestions on how to beat exam result related anxiety.

Stop discussing! It is important for students to stop discussing about the exams and their performance once it is over. The more students tend to discuss about the exams there are increased chances that they will also discuss about the mistakes committed by them in these exams! The futility of the entire exercise cannot be overemphasized, cos after all, you will never get to write that very exam again!

Plan for the future! Students should utilize their time by planning for their future and setting their career goals. Once through with the exams, students should research extensively about the existing career options and also try to explore new career opportunities available to them, keeping their interest and aptitudes in mind. Keeping their minds occupied with such thoughts and channelizing their energies constructively will help student beat CBSE result related stress and will also yield productive outputs

Engage into physical activities/ hobby courses! Soaring competition levels and increase in expectations from all corners leaves students with little time during the academic year to engage in physical activities and hobby courses. With nothing much to do after the exams, students can keep themselves busy in these activities before the CBSE results are announced. These activities will help students un-wind themselves and will also provide them an opportunity to beat the stress and develop their personality at the same time.

Celebrate your result! Before the final CBSE results are announced, it is important for students to make necessary arrangements to celebrate their results. Good or bad, students should look forward to their results rather than fear the day when the CBSE results will be announced. It is important for students to look at their CBSE results in perspective and not let their spirits dampen if they failed to perform as per their own or others’ expectations. Taking everything positively, students should set higher goals for themselves and work harder to achieve those goals.

Now that all you students out there know how to beat CBSE result related anxieties do not exhaust yourself by constantly worrying about your results. Just try out these tips and look ahead to the future confidently.

All the very best for your results!

How to conquer Maths Anxiety?

How to conquer Maths Anxiety?

Math anxiety is a concern for many students. Some students experience occasional problems in understanding the facts of mathematics while others have deep performance related issues in this subject. Many students all over the world tend to freeze during Maths tests, even if they known the procedure to solve the problems, understand all the formulae, equations and arrive at correct answers. So far it has been observed that fear of maths is the biggest obstacle in the path of learning Maths.

Learning Maths is just like learning any other subject where true mastery can be achieved through practice. Students can outweigh the fear for the subject if they are honest and brave to make mistakes and learn from their mistakes.

Origin of Maths Anxiety
Maths anxiety generally occurs from a limited understanding of the subject. It also arises as a result of poor teaching that leads to unpleasant experiences. Most of the students who don’t understand the concepts, procedures and rules of the problem but try to memorize it, face the problem of anxiety.

Fear factor for Maths would no longer exist if the students follow few simple tips mentioned below:

Ask for early help:
If students face difficulty in a particular chapter, they can ask for tutorial help. Extra help can provide right boost to overcome Maths anxiety and add to their confidence to perform well in tests.

Cramming should be avoided:
Cramming for exams can often enhance Maths anxiety. So, students are advised to avoid cramming. They are suggested to break their study sessions into small portions. It is also advised to deal with problem areas as quickly as possible. All these would help minimize Math anxiety upto a large extent.

Emphasis on regular practice:
The best way to overcome Maths anxiety is to show a student that he/she can solve it correctly and can derive right answers. For the same, students should regularly practice problems related to their weaker sections. Rigorous practice and meticulous efforts would help the students get rid of their fear of Maths and side-by-side would also promote their conceptual understanding. More and more practice ahead of an exam would help students identify their problem areas, rectify it and consequently boost self-esteem.

Learn Maths in an innovative way
Students who are tired of practicing problems from boring and mundane books can surely add a punch to their study schedule by practicing Maths from online puzzles, quizzes, graphics and animations. Students can go through various animated videos where problems are explained in a simple language for a complete understanding of concepts. These online study material and videos are available 24*7. Students have complete freedom to access this content at their own convenience.

Ask questions if confused:
Students should start learning Maths with a positive attitude and determination. They shouldn’t settle for anything less during the instruction sessions by tutors or teachers. In case of any confusion, they should ask for clear illustrations, demonstrations and simulations.

Teachers and parents of the students can play an important role to make certain that students understand problems in Maths presented to them without any confusion or ambiguity. They can also encourage them to work hard and get more practice. Once the students realize that they can learn Maths like any of the other subjects, the whole notion that Maths is a ‘tough’ subject and the resultant Maths anxiety can become a thing of the past.

Tips and Tricks to Excel in ICSE Papers

Tips and Tricks to Excel in ICSE Papers

Scoring well in ICSE papers is no easy thing considering the vastness of the ICSE syllabus! Scoring good marks in ICSE papers really takes a lot of effort. A disciplined study-regimen that includes regular revision sessions and is backed by good health is a pre-requisite to scoring well in ICSE papers.

To help all you students out there who are preparing for ICSE papers or for that matter any other board papers, here are a few tips and tricks that can help you excel in your exams.

Study regularly! An important secret to scoring well in ICSE papers is to have a consistent approach towards studies. Regular study sessions will help students stay abreast with the overall pace required to complete the syllabus within the given time-frame. When compared to the various other educational boards operating in India, ICSE has the most expansive syllabus for class 10 examinations. As a result many a times students preparing for ICSE papers find handling the sheer volume in so many subjects, a little difficult. As a precautionary step to avoid last moment chaos and to facilitate effective understanding of concepts, students are advised to study regularly for their ICSE papers. Students can also seek help from various websites that provide ICSE curriculum aligned study material. The study material by these websites provide study content in interesting and fun format in order to accelerate the pace of learning.

Stay in touch! Ideally, students should study all the major subjects regularly in order to excel in their ICSE papers. But keeping in mind the time that is typically spent by most students in extra curricular activities, tuition sessions, relaxation activities etc. leaving them with very little time for self-study, it may be a little unrealistic to be able to touch all the subjects in a day. However, in order to score well in the ICSE papers students are advised not to lose touch with any of the subjects for more than 2-3 days. If students do not study any subject for a longer period, chances are that recall for that particular subject will be far lesser, and as a result they will lag behind. To help students schedule their studies better, a few websites provide online Study Planner. The Study Planner by these websites is an online organizer that helps students stay abreast with their progress and their level of preparation for each chapter.

Self-study is a must! Self- study does not mean completing homework, but investing time in studying alone with the primary objective of improving grades in school. To perform well in ICSE papers, students should devote majority of the available time to self-studying. This will help in better and instant understanding of the subjects and lead to a speedy memorization of concepts.

Study with breaks! In order to break the monotony that is usually a result of long study sessions, it is very essential for students preparing for ICSE papers to inject short breaks in-between their study routines. These short study breaks will help the mind to stay fresh and focused for a longer period. As a result studying for ICSE papers will become easier and also more fun.

Revise using past year ICSE papers! One of the very important tricks to score well in ICSE papers is to test your knowledge using previous year papers and sample papers. An activity like this helps students assess their preparation levels for the final ICSE papers. As students practice using previous years’ ICSE papers, they can also identify their weak areas and evaluate their time management skills and accordingly work upon it. Students can browse through a lot of websites that provide ICSE curriculum aligned practice and model tests to prepare better for their ICSE papers.

Eat healthy! The last and the most important tip to score well in ICSE papers is to eat healthy and stay fit. Students should try to increase their intake of fresh fruits and vegetables as it keeps both the body and brain healthy. With ICSE papers approaching, students should restrain themselves from eating food that can hamper their health in any way.

I hope all these tips and tricks will benefit students in many ways and will help make scoring good marks in ICSE papers easy. All the best for your exams!

School exams CBSE ICSE

School exams CBSE ICSE

One thing that students detest the most during their school lives is school exams. Under the current Indian education system, school exams are usually considered as the most reliable means of assessing a student’s progress. Undoubtedly, paper & pencil exams are important ways of assessing students’ understanding of concepts, but relying solely on paper-pencil based assessments as the only way to test how much a child knows may not be right. There are various ways other than school exams that can prove immensely helpful in assessing students’ progress in schools. Teachers can also assess students through various classroom activities like discussions, debates, practical assignments etc. However, these techniques of assessing could possibly be time consuming and also require the teacher to be very insightful about child psychology. These techniques require teachers to practice strict caution against biases coming into play and demand from the teacher to be a lot more patient, so as to allow students to become comfortable with the set-up.

Changes introduced by CBSE in its assessment system

Unlike the other educational boards in India that still continue to rely solely on paper & pencil school exams to evaluate ‘how much the student has understood’, CBSE has made an attempt to move away from this system. Under the new scheme (CCE) adopted by CBSE, along with the paper & pencil tests (summative assessments) students are also evaluated through various classroom activities (i.e. formative assessments) like quizzes, presentations, etc. CCE also lays a lot of emphasis on the assessment of students in co-scholastics areas that contribute to the holistic development of student. In light of all the attempts made by the CCE to bring freshness into the education system, care has been taken not to undermine the importance of the traditional testing system (based on paper & pencil tests).

How to prepare for school exams?

In order to excel in school exams (formative assessments and paper-pencil tests) it is very important for students to be attentive in class. Being attentive and focused in the class helps students to effectively understand the concept; as a result it helps them perform well in the classroom discussions. Likewise for the summative assessments it is very important for students to extensively go through the study material and understand all the concepts thoroughly. After understanding the concepts, the next important step is to test their understanding by taking chapter-wise tests. There are a few websites that provide such tests for students studying under CBSE, ICSE, Karnataka, Maharashtra & Tamil Nadu boards. The chapter-wise tests available on such sites are in multiple-choice & question-answer formats that ensure thorough testing. Apart from these chapter-wise tests, students should also try their hand at sample papers/ model tests available at such websites. These mock exams can also help students test their exam taking skills.

Wishing you all the best for your school exams!

Happy studying!

Revision techniques for ICSE Papers

Revision techniques for ICSE Papers

Revising using the right techniques can help students fetch their dream score in the final ICSE papers. In spite of working very hard, students are not able to achieve their dream score. One of the major reasons behind the same is poor revision technique adopted by students. While preparing for ICSE papers, it is very important for students to allocate ample time for revision sessions. Students often undermine the importance of quality revision sessions and consider it a futile exercise. However, it is imperative for students to undertake a few quality revision sessions following the right revision technique to reinforce learning and concretize conceptual understanding for ICSE papers.

To help all you students out there with the right techniques on how to go about revising for ICSE papers, here are a few points elaborating on the same.

While starting to revise for ICSE papers the first and foremost step is to set revision goals. Setting realistic and achievable goals will help students arrive at the right course to proceed in. An activity like this will also help students make the most of their revision sessions. While setting revision goals students should make sure that the goals are not so high that it becomes difficult to achieve them. The goals should also not be so easy that achieving them constitutes no real challenge for them. Goals should be such that they help students push themselves that extra bit while revising for ICSE papers. While setting goals, students are required to set both long-term as well as short-term targets.

While revising for ICSE papers, students should be sure of the environment they are studying in. It is very important for students to have their own comfortable study corner while revising for ICSE papers. The study corner should be well-lit and free of any disturbance. This will help students concentrate better during their revision sessions.

The third and the most essential point while revising for ICSE papers is to incorporate small breaks in your revision sessions. Revising at a stretch often makes the studying exercise monotonous and results in reduced concentration levels. Studying with low concentration can result in reduced retention and poor recall. Therefore, students revising for ICSE papers or for that matter any exam are advised to incorporate small and timely breaks in their revision sessions that help them to get suitably re-charged.

Apart from the right revision technique, it is also important for students to use the right revision tools while preparing for ICSE papers. Student should carefully choose their revision tools keeping in mind their preferred learning styles. There are a lot of websites that provide revision material in various formats. Students who prefer the visual mode of learning/ revising can refer to videos and crisp revision notes available on these websites, whereas tactile learners can practice their way through a variety of tests and curriculum-aligned puzzles. However, it is imperative for students to refer only those websites that provide quality learning content.

With tips on revision technique and revision tools in place, students can start revising and be confident of a great performance and an excellent score in the final ICSE papers.

Help Yourself Learn Chemistry through the Internet

Just Help Yourself Learn Chemistry through the Internet

Chemistry is considered a difficult and challenging subject to learn and often causes frustration in students. In schools, teachers sometimes teach Chemistry in such a way that leaves students feeling lost and confused about the subject. This is the reason that thousands of students are seeking additional help for learning Chemistry.

A couple of years ago, the only way to collect knowledge on any subject was to visit libraries with stocks of thick and heavy books with text printed in uninspiring black. But with the introduction of internet, that scenario has become history. Now, just a click of the mouse can help students find any information on topics ranging from Electro- chemistry, Chemical Reactions, Thermodynamics to Equilibrium.

Students can find a number of websites that provide a thorough knowledge on various chapters of Chemistry. They can also find online tutorials and online encyclopedias for static information on the subject. Now-a-days interactive help is also available for students on the internet where students can submit their queries and get their answers.

Online Help Forums for Chemistry

Online forums are one of the most interesting and innovative ways to get help for Chemistry. Students can enter most Chemistry forums as a guest and can read the questions and answers posted there. However, if the students want to put a question or answer a query, they would have to register themselves as a member. Registrations for such online forums are usually free and involve a simple process that requires very little time. These forums are handled by expert tutors and instructors who have years of experience and a thorough knowledge in their respective fields.

Questions put in online forums are open and can be answered by all registered members. Multiple answers to a single question can help to open up the mind of students to endless possibilities and can help enhance their learning experience.

Online Chemistry study material for CBSE students

Students of CBSE boards can find NCERT solutions, CBSE sample papers, CBSE practice papers and much more in numerous websites. After a thorough study of Chemistry NCERT books, students can frame the answers to end-of-chapter questions themselves or find them online at a nominal or no cost. They can also look for definitions, concepts, reactions, structures and nomenclature in these websites which are sometimes supported by audio, video, graphics, animations and PowerPoint presentations for a better conceptual understanding.

Students can participate in interactive quizzes, tests etc to assess their level of understanding and judge their preparation levels. They can attempt online sample papers, practice tests and revision exercises for a thorough revision. Revision using online sample papers would not only help students in tracing their weaker links but would also assist them in making their hold over such concepts stronger. Time bound sample papers and model papers available online also help students in managing time so that they can complete the questions within the allotted time in the examination.

Unlike traditional classroom learning with mundane books, online learning is an exhilarating way to learn Chemistry. It not only helps in getting solutions to queries but also aims at the all-round development of students by enhancing their confidence levels.

Online study material for Chemistry, centers on the understanding the core concepts of the subject and improving the problem solving skills of students. If students follow the online study material for Chemistry with dedication, it would no longer be a difficult subject for them.
